So I was forced to buy a new digital camera after my Canon G2 just wouldn’t start up for me anymore. The lense would stay open even though the camera was off, and the darn thing weighed about 10 pounds. So I went out and looked around at all the various cameras on the market. After comparing the features of the Sony, and seeing some sample shots, I couldn’t pass this camera up, especially for the price.
I have to say the features of this are amazing. 7.2 megapixels, Carl Zeiss lens, and a battery that seems to give you a lot of bang for you buck. The real reason I bought the camera, was because I saw a video that was shot with the same camera. Man was this a nice video, crisp images and amazing sound.
So I’ve been playing around with it and taken a few shots, but for the most part I haven’t even cracked the surface of what this bad boy can do. However it’s soooo much smaller than my last camera that I can’t believe it takes this good of pictures. Oh did I mention that it has a 2.5 inch LCD on the back. That’s right, you could watch TV on this puppy with all the clarity it has.
So far I can’t find one thing with it that I don’t like. I really like that it’s shutter speed is quicker than the old digital cameras, and I just can’t get over the size of it. So now what I have to do is, turn my blog into a photoblog and see how that goes.
So any new pictures that show up on Flick are going to be from my new camera, I just hope flickr has enough space for me!
