I was watching a little TV tonight, which I rarely do, and I noticed that we as humans say some pretty stupid things. I’m not talking about airhead types of things, I’m talking about those sayings we here all the time that just don’t make a lot of sense. Here’s one of my favorites

Wouldn’t you know it, I found it in the last place I looked

So I’m like “No Shit Sherlock”, just think about how stupid this damn statement is.
Of course you found what you were looking for in the last place you looked, because IT IS THE LAST PLACE YOU LOOKED!! Does this not make sense to anyone? I mean seriously, why make a statement like that, your only stating the obvious.
Another one of my favorites is:

six to one, half dozen of the other

Why can’t we say, It doesn’t matter is gonna be even. Oh which brings me to another one before I forget

Even Steven

I heard this one for years. I always thought my cousin Steve was getting all the attention. And who was to say he’s all that even anyway. I just never figured it out. So there is three examples that I came up with, and I’m positive there are more out there, I just had to get it off my chest. I can’t believe we listen to this kinda crap on our nightly news.
