PlayStation 3 was released in Japan this week and already problems are starting to pop up. Apparently not all of the legacy games work with the new system. Since we are only hours away from the release of the system here in the states, this is going to be a problem for the ones people pre-ordered and expect to pick up this Friday. This could be a big deal considering over 16,000 different games were sold in the US for PlayStation and PlayStation 2, and I’m sure Sony will fix the problem quickly. But if your picking your new dream machine this week, don’t be suprised if a few of those old games don’t play. Your suppose to be able to go to the Playstation website and type in the name of the game and it will tell you if it works or not. Some games will have graphics problems, sound problems or just simply won’t play at all. I’m sure Sony wishes this release would have gone a heck of a lot smoother than it has, but considering Sony’s track record, in the end this won’t matter much at all.
