More YouTube Like websites

Apparently Microsoft couldn’t wait to get their hands on some video content like YouTube. But the way they are doing it is a little different. If you don’t already know, Miscrosoft is trying to get into the portable entertainment industry with the Zune. I already have a Zune and I’m telling you that it’s got to be one the best portable devices I have ever bought. Ok enough about my fabulous purchase, and back to the Microsoft YouTube. So if you navigate over to SoapBox, you’ll see what I’m talking about. ZuneAvenue did a little number on this, but here’s what you need to know about SoapBox.
First, your average Joe walking down the street with a Zune or iPod probably isn’t going to know about this site. The reason for that? Well the Zune simply doesn’t have the following that the iPod does and people just aren’t in tune with “The Social” yet. Ok, next thing is that SoapBox is by invitation only, which Microsoft in their democratic way will invite those that are worthy of video submission. It’s been 48hrs since I submitted my request and I still haven’t heard anything, oh well their loss, I got plenty of clips of my friends running around acting like 15yr olds (We are all 30+). How many people do you know that have heard of SoapBox? ok, how many of them have heard of YouTube? I think my point is proven.
So if you have a Zune this site is worth checking out, and if you don’t, well enjoy some of the strange video clips that Microsoft has allowed to be uploaded. And Microsoft, if your listening, I want in so I can win that video camera, I got small children, I need it.
