The Apprentice LA - Down to 4

So we finally have it. The four final contestants are all set for the home stretch. The last episode of The Apprentice was actually really good. Trump decided that there is no more living in tents, so all six people were now living in the house. So the remaining candidates: Heidi, Kristine, and Nicole (original Arrow member) from Kinetic and Stefani, James and Frank from Arrow. So now they are all living in the same house and must pick new teams, actually three two person teams. So Kristine doesn’t want to team with Heidi, because she want’s to show Trump that she can do just as good of a job as Heidi, so she picks Nicole. James wants to work with Stefani, which leaves Frank and Heidi as teammates. So now that the teams are set, it’s time for probably the best job yet.
The new task: Fly to Las Vegas in Trump’s personal airplane to study the Trump International Hotel and Tower and work on a promotional campaign for the second tower currently under construction. Don Trump, Jr. and Trump, Sr. will serve as the judges. So James and Stefani, hire a professional photographer to take pictures of the model and keep on task by getting things done. Frank and Heidi, try to stay on task, but Frank being A.D.D and Heidi, being only good a delegating, find it difficult to get the task completed. On the other hand Kristine and Nicole seem like they are putting it together, but Nicole decides to sleep most of the task away, leaving everything up to Kristine.
As with every episode it comes down to a board room square off. So the payoff for this task is to present the Trumps with each team’s presentation and then they will decide who had the best presentation. So to start it off, Stefani and James go and deliver and stunning presentation. Stefani, being a trial lawyer really shows off her presentation skills. Not only did the presentation rock, but the visual footage and the brochure was just as impressive. Even Heidi mentioned how impressed she was with the presentation. Top to bottom they were the best. Next came Kristine and Nicole, and from the beginning, this one didn’t go so well. Nicole had a real problem getting the PowerPoint presentation to display. Trump had to ask James if he could help her out, which he did and got it working. So now that the Trumps are really unimpressed, they start to deliver their presentation, complete with video and brochure. What’s really surprising about this group is that Nicole sells commercial real-estate for a living, which after watching her talk, would have fooled anyone. I don’t know if I would have bought a stick of gum from her. Kristin on the other hand isn’t much better, one would expect her to give a wonderful preso being that all she does is talk, but again, that wasn’t the case. As if the presentation was enough for them to be sent home, Donald Sr. notices something on their brochure and calls attention to it. He notices that between their brochure and James and Stefani’s brochure that the phone numbers are different. Trump then asks James and Nicole to go outside and call the two numbers. And wouldn’t you know it, the number and team 2’s was not the correct one. Whose fault was that? Well it’s Kristine’s because she created the brochure, so Nicole actually escapes this one because she was asleep. So now it’s time for Heidi and Frank to present. And one would think that all you have to do is not pick your nose and stumble all over yourself in order to beat the last presentation. However Heidi did exactly that. She stumbled so bad she made Frank look bad by trying to hand the presentation over to him. That would have been an ok move, had Frank actually had a presentation to give. Heidi wrote the presentation and the brochure, of which Trump thought hands down was the worst of them all. Heidi was visibly shaken when she was up there and Frank stood there looking like a baboon. When they were through (about 5 minutes total), Trump made it clear that the brochure was like a novel and too hard to read and they didn’t even have a theme.
So to recap the presentations: Stefani and James blew the doors off the Joint, Nicole and Kristine couldn’t get there presentation to start up correctly and they put the wrong phone number on the brochure, and Heidi and Frank didn’t have a presentation and their video and brochure weren’t close to as good as the other teams. So with all that, one might assume that both Heidi and Frank would be fired or Kristine and Nicole would be let go. Well not so fast, as it turns out, Frank and Heidi cut each others throat and Heidi makes the fatal mistake of asking Trump to fire her because she didn’t perform on this task, so she gets the can. Without even hesitating and to get to commercial even faster, Trump then turns to Kristine and fires her. Kristine then starts to whine about how she didn’t get to defend herself and Trump reminds her that she put down the wrong phone number which in his mind is an “unforgivable sin”. So Kristine, your fired too.
After it’s all said and done, the original Arrow team is all that’s left for the final four. And from this group I don’t think there is any guess as to who is going to be the winner. But I think that’s something for a future post.
