Was anyone really surprise when CBS announced that they would no longer carry the Don Imus radio show? For those that don’t know what happened, Don Imus decided that he would label the Rutgers women’s basketball team as “nappy-headed hos” live on the air. Ok, um…. Mr. Imus, yeah, you’ve been around a pretty long time, I mean you’ve been on the radio longer than I have even been alive, so I’m wondering why the sudden loose of intelligence. Now I’m no rocket scientist, but you kind of picked fun at two groups that you certainly don’t want not liking you. First of all you made fun of women, big bad mistake, and to make things worse you made fun of their hair and called them “Ho’s”. What were you thinking? Well you couldn’t stop there, no, you had to go ahead and throw in some racial stereotypes and center that around African Americans. Do you realize what happens when you attack them? You get Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson on your front doorstep. Is that something your really want? Do you think it’s something your employer wants? Probably not!
Oh well, I guess a thank you is in store. I now have my mornings free and can sleep in. If Pete Rose can’t get into the Hall of Fame for betting on baseball, then I’m pretty sure you should be taken out of the Radio Hall of Fame for your comments.
