A whole lot of something for nothing

My New Project

Well I decided that on my 32nd birthday that it was time to start something I have always wanted to do. And that is… start another website. Yup, I constantly get asked the question, “Can you really make money online?”. I’m here to tell you, I don’t know. Because I don’t exactly know if you can make tons of money on the internet, I’m going to give it a shot. So here’s the deal…
A lot of people have heard the term “Affiliate Marketing”, some know what it means and some don’t. Basically affiliate marketing, is taking someone else’s product and then you market it and get a cut out of each sale. Sometimes the cut can be as much as 75%, but typically is somewhere around 40 - 55 percent of the sale. So I’m going to open myself up to the entire world as to whether or not this can actually be successful. So here is what I plan on doing.

  • Have a blog post every day about what I did or am about to do to make this website successful.
  • I’m going to post my incomes and expenses, so that we can all measure how things are going.
  • I will be accepting advice from those who would like to comment or share ideas.
  • I will be updating the website/blog daily in order to make the site better or to add content about the project.
  • I may purchase materials from those who have been successful at affiliate marketing.
  • There will eventually be a podcast of the daily happenings (this will more than likely turn into a weekly recap).

So that’s it. I’m going to go at this straight as an arrow, no gimmicks, and no tricks up my sleeve. We are going to try this and see how things work. I’m going to show you everything that I do and explain it in detail. In the next 365 days expect big things or at the very least prepare yourself for an interesting lesson on whether or not affiliate marketing really works.
