So you’ve made it through the first two levels (Easy and Medium), but now that you reached “Hard”, and all of a sudden you’ve hit the wall. One thing you’ll notice is that you have five buttons, but only four fingers to play with. To make matters worse, some player only use three fingers, which makes this tip even more important.
The first thing that you need to do is locate that yellow button, with the raised bump, so that you always know where the middle is. Now to hit those notes on the orange button, slide your fingers down the button bar. The way that I play is to start off with my left ring finger on the yellow button, and then when I need to hit those orange notes, I slide my fingers down the button bar one key so that my index finger is on the red button and middle finger is on the yellow button. This technique will work if you’re a four finger player, meaning you play with your little finger. For those of you who play with only three figures all you have to do is adjust your finger by two buttons, meaning when you slide your going to move your fingers down the bar by two buttons. Mostly likely you’ll start out with your ringer finger on the yellow button, then to play the blue button you will move your middle finger to the yellow button and then to play the orange button you’ll move your index finger to the yellow button and your ring finger can play the orange button.
Remember, the more fingers you use, the easier it is to hit those notes quickly. The more movement you have going up and down the fret bar, the more room for error there is. Therefore practice this technique from the start of your career. On easy and medium mode you’ll have no trouble hitting the cords; however once you hit the more advanced levels you’ll quickly hit the wall.
