The Bigs - Rookie Challenge

June 30th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Well I started it, yup; I designed my player and got all setup for the Rookie Challenge that “The Bigs” offer. For those of you who don’t know, the “The Bigs” by 2K Sports offers a playing mode that allows you to take a rookie that you design, and run him through a bunch of tests to see how good you are at playing the game. So the first test is to see if you can beat the Florida Marlins in a 5 inning game. This really turns out to be more a pitching and fielding exercise than anything else. Expect high scores, and remember to use that power hits when your bar is all juiced up. If you want to get the most bang for your buck with your rookie, hold off using the power bat until it’s their turn to bat. On the Wii hit buttons C and Z on the nunchuk at the same time to enable the option and then smack the ball out of the park. If there are runners on the base paths your in luck as each RBI and hit counts for additional points for your rookie.

Just got “The Bigs” love the game. Playing it on the Wii may cause Tommy Johns surgery in the future as throwing the curve ball is realistic and after playing for a few hours I work up the next morning with a sore elbow. No joke I really did.
