NFL Picks -Week 4

September 29th, 2007 · No Comments

Ok, so with a record of 29 - 19, I’m back at it again, but this week I’m determined to again do better than the previous week. The problem is that this season is totally unpredictable, and this week isn’t looking any better.

Packers at Vikings - Packers. For some reason Farve has come alive this season, and as long as Donald Driver can keep making plays like he has been, then Vikings are in for it.

Raiders at Dolphins - Dolphins. This week Green should get it going. Ronnie Brown was huge last week and the Raiders aren’t the best defensive team in the league.

Jets at Bills - Jets. I like the Jets now that their QB is right on track. The defense has let them down a bit, but still they aren’t playing bad. Bills can’t even seem to find their best receiver yet, so they need to figure it out a bit.

Texans at Falcons - Texans. Falcons aren’t as bad as they appear on paper, but they still stink. The Texans on the other hand were undefeated until they met up with Payton Manning, so that has to tell you something.

Bears at Lions - Lions. Dare I pick the Lions after how they played last week. Well there is also a change at QB in Chicago, and that might not be so good for them. Actually it probably couldn’t be any worse than Grossman, but I’m still not convinced that defense can win all of your games for you.

Rams at Cowboys - Cowboys. The Rams are beat up at running back and at QB, that isn’t such a good thing for a team that really hasn’t played well this season. On the other hand, the Cowboys have played really well this season, except they can’t seem to stop an offense. But I think this is the week, the Rams offense isn’t exactly high powered.

Ravens at Browns - Ravens. This is like the old Cleveland playing the new Cleveland, and I like the old one, you know the one that actually won a Superbowl. Browns are better than expected, but I think the whole Derek Anderson thing was a bit of a surprise, and a little overrated.

Bucs at Panthers - Bucs. This was a tough one, but it looks like Tampa Bay is turning things around. They aren’t a great team, but neither are the Panthers. Carolina’s QB is hurting, which means their superstar wide out is going to hurt just as much.

Seahawks at 49ers - Seahawks. This was the second tough one to choose. I guess I still think Alexander still has it in him, even though he has a broken bone in his wrist.

Chiefs at Chargers - Chargers. Well it’s at home and maybe Rivers will figure out that he can’t throw the ball as well as L.T. can run it. Here’s a hint, throw it as little as possible and let that running back guy do his thing. Oh yeah and can Marty come back now?

Steelers at Cardinals - Steelers. Pitt is playing great this season and I don’t think Arizona is gonna be the the team to stop them. Kurt Warner as a QB probably isn’t what Cards fans were looking forward too, but oh well.

Broncos at Colts - Colts. After last weeks performances, I think this should be a good showdown. That is as long as most of the Colts team is also on your fantasy team. I think we can count on Peyton and having a big game at home.

Eagles at Giants - Giants. For some reason I’m thinking last week was a fluke. I know Donovan looked good and so did the rest of the team, but come on, that many touch downs to Curtis isn’t normal. Maybe the other Manning will have a big day as well.

Patriots at Bengals - Patriots. As much as I would like to see a shootout between these teams, it probably won’t happen. Palmer has a great arm on him and Rudy is a hell of a running back. Problem here is that the cheating Pats are have about the same offensive power, plus Randy Moss. Should be a great game regardless.

So there you have it, perfect record again this week right? Probably not, but I have to do better than last week. Like always I’m not telling you to put money on me, but you can send me some if you like.
