With a bye week last week, and an overall record of 55 - 34, it’s anyones guess why I put myself through this torture every week. Regardless, here I go again for another week picking the teams that I think should win this week in the Pro Football.
Giants at Dolphins: Giants. I’m not really sure if the Dolphins will win a game this season now that Ronnie Brown is out. Giants look good, and will probably look better against this team.
Raiders at Titans: Titans. Vince Young is back, but I don’t know if that makes a difference. Oakland needs an offense, and this week isn’t the week they’ll find one.
Eagles at Vikings: Vikings. Philly is favored, but inconsistent is the name of the game for them this year. I like Minnesota’s running attack.
Browns at Rams: Browns. The Rams are another team that really need to get an offense, and they just might find one this week if Steven Jackson can come back. But still I doubt it. Cleveland has a good thing going right now.
Lions at Bears: Lions. I know the Bears are favored in this one, but for some reason I think the Lions can pull it off. Chicago doesn’t look great and neither do the Lions. I’m just hoping those tall receivers for the Lions produce more than the lack luster offense of Chicago.
Colts at Panthers: Colts. Manning and the boys look good and Testaverde looks, well not so good. Yes I did say Vinny Testaverde, yes he’s back and playing. Enough said.
Steelers at Bengals: Steelers. Offense vs. Defense in this one. Unfortunately for the Bengals the Steelers also have an offense, although maybe not as high powered. If the Bengals could just stop someone they might have a chance at winning.
Jaguars at Buccaneers: Buccaneers. Jeff Garcia looks pretty good and he’s not throwing the ball away. Jaguars look good, especially on the ground, but Quinn Gray is starting in Garrard’s place.
Bills at Jets: Jets. This one is a looser. Two terrible teams playing for the basement. I think the Jets offense is pretty good and the defense that showed up for the Cowboys won’t be back for a while in Buffalo.
Texans at Chargers: Chargers. L.T. finally got it going, now Rivers needs to do his part. Texans just aren’t as good as people thought they might be at the beginning of the season.
Saints at 49ers: Saints. I think the 9ers have about the worse offense in the league, and the Saints couldn’t be playing them at any better time. The momentum is in favor of the Saints.
Redskins at Patriots: Patriots. It’s hard to bet against the Brady/Moss combo. Or the Brady/Welker combo, or the Brady/(Add Receiver here) combo. Washington isn’t a bad team either, but they aren’t as good as the Patriots. I’m just waiting until the 8-0 Pats play the 7-0 Colts.
Packers at Broncos: Packers. I stopped believing in Denver. I thought they had a balanced attack, but they haven’t really showed up a lot this year. That QB that Green Bay has, sure has put on a show this year, and for some reason I think he likes Monday night.
So there you have it. Another week of picks and another week of most likely shocking outcomes. I know I’m not going to pick them all, I just wonder which ones are going to be the losers.
