Last week left me with an overall record of 81 - 49, which means I had my first loosing week with a record of 6 - 8. This week has got to be better, so without wasting your time, here are this weeks picks.
Buccaneers at Falcons: Bucs. I wouldn’t take the dirty birds against anyone at this point. Among the terrible teams in the NFL, this is one of them.
Browns at Ravens: Browns. I really like watching Art Modell loose to his former team. Ravens defense is old and slowing, and the Browns offense is young and fast, I give this one to Cleveland.
Giants at Lions: Lions. This is a tough one. Giants at times have looked great, and who would ever guess that at this point in the season the Lions would have a winning record. Home team wins.
Dolphins at Eagles: Eagles. Seriously, I’m just hoping the fish go 0 -17 so those old guys can toast champaign to an undefeated season and a defeated one.
Raiders at Vikings: Vikings. Although Peterson looks to be sitting this one out, I still like the Vikings chances. Unless the Raiders line up their kicker every time they cross the 50 yard line, they don’t have much of a chance at scoring.
Chargers at Jaguars: Jaguars. Last week the Chargers offense looked impressive. They were really good at staying out of the end zone and let their special teams do all the scoring.
Chiefs at Colts: Colts. Indianapolis has to be pissed after getting beat by a bad San Diego team. Chiefs offense is just what the doctor ordered for a defense that needs to get things going again.
Cardinals at Bengals: Bengals. Lets face it, both of these teams are a disappointment, and I’m thankful I’m not in their coverage area or I might be forced to watch this one.
Panthers at Packers: Packers. Green Bay just has it figured out this year, and I hope they keep going. Carolina isn’t a walk in the park, so I expect this to be a good one.
Saints at Texans: Saints. Brees needs to keep it going like he was for the last few weeks before last weeks upset. Texans started out strong, but now they just can’t seem to find the end zone.
Steelers at Jets: Steelers. The Jets really need to get a new team, I mean how bad can you be? 1 -8 means that your tied with the Rams for almost as bad as the Dolphins.
Bears at Seahawks: Seahawks. If the Seachickens throw as much as they did Monday night, they have a shot. Their running back is out, but that doesn’t mean much because he’s been out most of the last two years. Bears look to be playing Grossman again, so who knows how that one is going to go.
Rams at 49ers: Rams. Wow, talk about a game that’s crap crap crappy. These two teams are terrible, and yet the NFL still allows for this game to go on. Oh well, the good part is that someone will get a win, although it won’t matter much.
Redskins at Cowboys: Cowboys. This Dallas team looks good. Remember, this team only lost to New England. Redskins also lost to the Pats, but so has everyone else, the only difference is that they got blown out.
Patriots at Bills: Patriots. Need I really say anything about this? Although the Bills would like to play spoiler, it just hasn’t seemed to go that way for them this year. I’m looking forward to 17 - 0 for the Pats and then getting beat by the Colts in the playoffs, how great would that be?
Titans at Broncos: Titans. The Broncos just aren’t the team they use to be. Bring back Elway so that we can watch an offense we can depend on. I think I have other plans for Monday night.
So there you have it, another week of me putting my neck on the line for, well nothing. I can’t have another loosing week like I did last week, or can I? Maybe if I have a winning week this week I’ll put some money down for next week.
