NFL Picks - Week 12 (Sunday Games)

November 24th, 2007 · No Comments

I don’t often like to to toot my own horn, but so far this week I’m 3 - 0. Yup, pretty much my first shutout. But there is still those pesky Sunday games which I must now turn my attention to. So for the remaining eleven games, we can hope and pray that I go 13 - 0. Lets see what we have.

Saints at Panthers: Saints. Although the Saints only have moments of greatness, they should be able to handle the Panthers, who have been banged up lately.

Bills at Jaguars: Jaguars. Bills look terrible this year, and until they start to find Evans, then they can pretty much think about next year. If they haven’t already started to do so, then if your a Bills fan, think about getting a new favorite team.

Redskins at Buccaneers: Buccaneers. Jeff Garcia was a castaway last year, but has found a home with this bunch. Week after week they are impressive, but Washington is not a bad team. The skins have a lot off good players, especially at the tight end position and running back. This is going to be a good game to watch.

Seahawks at Rams: Seahawks. Rams have started to win, but look who they are winning against. Seahawks now like to throw the ball and that makes them score more points. Rams still have a great offense, accept their defense spends a lot of time on the field.

Vikings at Giants: Giants. Giants are a little banged up, but offensively they have a lot of weapons. Minnesota on the other hand only need to run the ball as both running backs appear to be at the top of their games. The game will be a great game to watch.

Raiders at Chiefs: Chiefs. Wow, here’s a looser for you. I pity those people that live in the Raiders market. Oh wait, that’s me, well I’ll find something else on TV to watch, not this crap. My only regret is that I had to pick someone to win this one.

Titans at Bengals. Titans. Bengals put up a ton of points, but the Titans D is gonna be pissed after the performance last Monday. Young really started to find his groove, and actually completed some passes. This is a good sign, but he still has the ability to play running back, which will be tempting against a terrible Cincy D.

Texans at Browns. Browns. Don’t look now, but the Browns could be in the playoffs. They still aren’t a great team, but they sure can put up a bunch on numbers. Texans have one really great combo, but you can only go to the well so many times.

49ers at Cardinals. Cardinals. Cardinals D should really get the kick in the pants that they need. They are going to be playing the NFL’s worse scoring offense. So if you can’t hold them at bay, then you got problems. What happened to Frank Gore? I thought he was suppose to be the next great thing up in SF. Oh well, I am glad I don’t have to see this one, it should be BORING.

Ravens at Chargers. Chargers. I’m only taking the Bolts because they are playing at home. Baltimore should be able to contain Gates and Tomlinson. However the Ravens offense is terrible, so I’m pretty sure the Chargers can contain them as well.

Broncos at Bears. Bears. I like the Bears after the return of the original starting QB. Here’s the deal, playing in Chicago in November is no better than playing in Denver in November, so both teams are use to the weather. Broncos have Jason Elam in case things get close down the stretch, however that’s about all they have in terms of consistent play. Bears on the other had have a pretty good defense, and an offense that likes to show up ever other game. So I’m hoping this is the game that they show up.

Eagles at Patriots. Patriots. Ok, so here’s one I don’t have to waste a bunch of thought on.

Dolphins at Steelers. Steelers. Another impressive Monday night game. The only reason I “might” tune in, is because I want to see if the Dolphins can keep the streak alive. I’m still hoping they can winless and set another record.

Well that’s about it, I’m thankful I already go the first three games under my belt without any surprises. Now lets see how bad it is for me on Sunday.
